Reinstate gratuity for PF Changs
As servers we depend on the tips our tables give us every day. In the past gratuity was something that large parties assumed was a part of their bill. That money represented the hard work it takes to serve them and almost all parties gladly paid the given amount. However, with the new IRS implementation of gratuity being a taxed service charge that the company must pay, it has been taken away. Now, our tips' fate is in the guests hands with or without the service quality in mind. Some may say that this is not such a disservice because servers would still make a percentage of their hourly. Unfortunately, regardless of the tip given the server must still give the bartenders and food runners a percentage of their sales. Therefore when a table does not tip you according to their bill, we are forced to tip out of other tables' tips. This means we are not receiving the adequate compensation for the job we are completing for our guests.
