Oppose "Commercial Finish Shops" Zoning Reg in Town of Saratoga
Dear Town of Saratoga Board Members,
We, the undersigned residents of The Town of Saratoga, are writing to express our opposition to the proposed zoning change that would allow “Commercial Finishing Shops” to be added as a special permitted use in the Rural and Rural-Residential Districts of our Town. This proposed Local Law #TBD (March 2023) would allow 'Commercial Finishing Venues' to operate on a 2 acre or more parcel, 200' from a residence. This translates to any homeowner in a neighborhood is enabled to convert their 2 acre residential property to a commercial enterprise. This regulation subjects Town residents to many potential threats and disruptions and leaves residents unprotected from hazardous waste spills, fire hazards, truck traffic, noise, odors, exhaust into our air, and so on.

DO YOU WANT TO SEE YOUR PROPERTY VALUE PLUNGE WITH A COMMERCIAL FINISH SHOP IN THE MIDST OF YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD?
TELL THE TOWN OF SARATOGA TOWN BOARD: NO!
WE OPPOSE THE COMMERCIAL FINISH LAW ZONING REG
WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, REQUEST THE TOWN OF SARATOGA BOARD REJECT THIS PROPOSED ZONING REGULATION AND SUSTAIN OUR CURRENT ZONING PROTECTIONS.
