Pulling Out: It Doesn’t Work for Birth Control Either On December 12th Canada pulled out from the Kyoto Protocol, the only binding international climate change agreement. This was the first time Canada has withdrawn from any international agreement, damaging our country’s reputation as a good global citizen. As Canadian youth, we are deeply concerned about the implications of this decision. We are demanding that the Government of Canada restore Canada’s international reputation. It must act immediately to rejoin the Kyoto Protocol and develop effective climate change policy. The government must work in the interests of youth and future generations. THE FUTURE IS NOW. WE ARE THE FUTURE. AND WE ARE HERE.
