Mötley Crüe is the Crüe’s 6th studio album and was released on March 15, 1994. It was the band's only album released with singer John Corabi and was the first album of all new material released by the band since their 1989 album, Dr. Feelgood. The album had a more aggressive and abrasive sound than the band's previous releases.

Mötley Crüe debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA. Overall, this album failed to sell as well as previous releases. Eventually, Corabi was out and original singer Vince Neil returned. Since Neil’s return, this album has been completely ignored by the band. No songs have been played live from it since its respective tour.

Time away from the 90’s Grunge era has been a good thing for this album. Many fans have discovered, or rediscovered this heavy gem and look at it as one of their finest achievements. It’s time for the band to acknowledge this album and give the fans a proper reissue/box set to celebrate it’s 30th Anniversary!
