We the undersigned wish to honor Elizabeth Carol Cherry because of her dedication to the students of the Malverne School district and to her sincerity and service to the Malverne, Lynbrook and Lakeview Communities. Carol as she was affectionately called, graduated from Malverne HS and taught for over thirty years in the district. With her unique personality she created a community of teachers, students, parents and friends. It was through her love and diligence that she inspired and instilled a resounding sense of pride in each and everyone that knew her. Those who were fortunate to have known her will continue to live their lives honoring her memory, and those that will never know Carol will be inspired by learning and living in a district that honors her legacy. The school can be known as Elizabeth Carol Cherry Memorial H.S. "The best teachers teach from the heart not from a book." Elizabeth Carol Cherry taught and gave of herself from the heart!
