TREB, Renew GeoWarehouse Now!
As some of you are aware, TREB has decided to NOT renew the contract with GeoWarehouse (Land Registry System). Instead they have launched a different version called "Public Records" using MPAC Propertyline Services. If you would like to express your frustration at this decision by TREB and request that they renew the contract with GeoWarehouse please sign the petition.
Thank you, Julia D'Andrade, Broker of Record, Century 21 Regal Realty Inc., Brokerage

Dear TREB Executive:
I think it is appalling how TREB has handled the Geowarehouse potential elimination.
I understand that the current contract in front of TREB from Geowarehouse, which is expiring on January 31, 2014, is at the same price per month per agent then previously offered, and that every other board in the province has agreed to re-sign with Geowarehouse other than TREB at the same ongoing rate of $15.00/agent/month. see http://bit.ly/KkcvSZ
The new MPAC Propertyline Services which TREB is offering does not have the necessities we need to provide proper services and effects the duties we have as sales representatives. It is difficult to work, doesn’t allow a search by name or have historical sales data available for free on it and in addition it will not operate on mobile devices or on apple products. I also have been told that agents will only have 5 searches available per day.
How can we work with a system that doesn’t enable us to do our due diligence? We cannot abide by a policy that states we have to have a fully executed listing agreement prior to searching information about a property?
I understand that the new system is a work in progress and may eventually be better then the existing system – but what are we to do in the interim? We need a system that works now! If it is the executive’s intent to provide better service to us – the membership – then both systems should be available to us until the new system works - better then the existing one!
What reimbursement is TREB offering all its members for taking away a service that was previously provided that could have its continuance at no increase cost to TREB?
Your solution to the issue is not feasible. It is limiting in many ways and must be readdressed by the executive committee ASAP.
I realize that many of you are not active selling agents but it is imperative that you understand how the change to MPAC Propertyline Services will limit or eliminate the duty of agent’s searches. The fact that the executives swept this under the table and didn’t bring it to member's attention for a vote or even a discussion is not right!
Please remember who you are servicing, how you are voted in and what the duty of an agent entails.
Thank you!
