Pulse is accessible to all youth between 14-29. The non-judgemental doctors and counsellors provide general health, education and support services. They allow you to make informed choices that promote a healthy lifestyle. Pulse is currently having discussions with the Ministry of Health in order to obtain stable funding. Pulse, which opened November 27, 2006, was the first youth health center in the Region of Halton. Transitions for Youth has proven this health care delivery model is extremely effective for youth. Transitions for Youth submitted a proposal for funding as a community health center to the Ministry earlier this year and have yet to receive funding. In just ten months of operation, nearly 1,000 young people aged 14 to 29 visited Pulse for medical and counselling services and for information on a range of topics such as depression, anxiety, nutrition, safe piercing, sexual health and addictions. Many youth initially visited Pulse for a medical issue, and then sought on-going counseling for other issues. if you have any questions feel free to contact me: Stefanie email: stef.xox@hotmail.com or Tiffani email: tiff-trudel@hotmail.com NOTE: ONCE YOU SUBMIT YOUR SIGNATURE AND COMMENT YOU HAVE A CHOICE TO DONATE.. *THAT IS NOT FOR PULSE* IT IS FOR THIS WEBSITE. thank you for your support.
