Our school cafeteria in UWF uses only plastic straws. Plastic takes more than 200 years to break down, and plastic straws are not recyclable items. Paper straws are more biodegradable than plastic straws. If our school makes the switch from plastic straws to paper straws, we are no longer damaging the environment.
