I really never expected this level of support for Mr Oakley but it just shows how much he actually means to everyone in this town. People are really showing up now and it feels like the school board might finally have to pay attention to us after all this noise.

I’ve known Mr.Oakley for a very long time, and as far as substitute teachers go...he was the best. Not only would he follow the teachers directions word for word he would implement his own knowledge into what we were learning and even give us more insight than the teacher.
Just two weeks ago I was in the cafeteria having lunch with my son and he excitedly said ‘That’s Mr. Oakley!’. Another boy said ‘Yeah he’s the best substitute ever!’ which turned in to the table agreeing they love him. If the kids praise a teacher that much and unanimously he must be great.
Mr. Oakley is, if nothing else, an honest man. If a mistake was alleged, he should have the opportunity to admit, refute or face it. His passion for teaching was unparalleled. In my opinion, it is preposterous to let someone go without explanation.
My kids loved having him as a substitute teacher. He was fair, and cared about the kids.
I've known Raymond Oakley for over a decade and he's one of the most intelligent, respectful, and caring individuals I have ever met. At the very least, he deserves an explanation. Shame on the school district for how this was handled.
He is an awesome substitute teacher
Known mr Oakley most my life . Great man , and is very enthusiastic about teaching the younger generation . Very smart and carries himself with a military bearing and is still very fun to be around .

Mr. Oakley was an amazing substitute. There were days where he even redid the lesson so I could understand it better, where my teacher wouldn't have. He was fun, he was open to ALL learning styles, *visual, hands on, etc*, he was understanding and he was challenging, like asking tough questions we could think about. He deserves to be teaching and honestly he was one of the best at Waverly. Made me so happy walking into class and he was the sub. Please let us have just one good thing at Waverly, please.
