RESCUE OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN EGYPT AND UGANDA!

The government of Kano State under Dr. Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, as part of its effort to empower Kano youths so that they may contribute effectively and efficiently to the development of their State and the country at large, sponsored a number of students to universities abroad to study various fields of endeavour.

Among these students are fifty (50) nurses who were sent to Mansoura University in Cairo, Egypt and about one hundred (100) others who were sent to Uganda. Today, those who were sent to Uganda have completed their studies, but Kwakwaso's successor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has failed, refused, refused or ignored to transport them back home. The 50 nurses sent to Egypt have now spent about two years there and now have only few months to go. But the government of Kano State which has earlier stopped their salaries and was paying them allowances suddenly stopped the payment of their allowances. These students are now left to suffer untold hardships in foreign countries. They have been turned into International Beggars because neglect the Kano State Government under Ganduje.

1. This is a wanton abuse of Ganduje's declaration that he would build on Kwakwaso's legacy;

2. It is a waste of the huge amount of money already spent on these students

3. It is a waste of the talent of these industrious sons and daughters of Kano state whose contribution to the state, both in the past and the future, cannot be underestimated;

4. This is a source of great international embarrassment to our dear nation, Nigeria.

We should not let this government continue punishing and torturing our brothers and sisters only for agreeing to go and study in foreign land so that they may better our lives. We must not let Ganduje to continue causing country international embarrassment.
