The residents of 3647 and 3657 Broadway have come together to show support for Gina Pilica who has been wrongfully suspended. Her notice of suspension states she 1) has not complied with the requirement of wearing a face mask at all times and 2) argued with a tenant. Both of these statements are incorrect as all signatories to this letter can attest to her professionalism, her observance of proper public health guidelines and her friendly service/demeanor.

Regarding the first claim that Gina doesn't wear her face mask: this is untrue. There is never a time any resident has seen her without a mask. The tenant who made the claim waited and recorded Gina, without her permission, to use an out of context picture of her while she was eating. Temporarily taking off a mask to eat or drink is not something that violates protocol so this claim is unfounded. Furthermore, this claim could have easily been verified by checking the camera(s) in the lobby which management failed to do.

Regarding the second claim of confronting a tenant, this tenant routinely records Gina and threatens to have her fired. To this end, this tenant has been witnessed repeatedly photographing Gina while she is working in the hopes of capturing her in a compromised situation. This constitutes harassment from a tenant who behaves in this manner because they expect subservience from building staff. That is not right and cannot be tolerated. We have many tenants that can attest to this harassment.

The suspension of an exemplary employee is unacceptable and management must rectify this situation immediately. The residents of 3647 and 3657 request that this suspension be lifted and that Gina be compensated for the days she was suspended. We hope the plea from many tenants is taken as seriously as a claim from a single tenant.

Thank you.
