Have you ever been waiting home all day for a delivery to find a 'sorry you were out' delivery note when it is obvious that the door bell did not ring This seems to happen a lot and it appears that Royal Mail are not actioning on the individual complaints made by customers. This results in people having to take wasted days off work or wait at home all day for nothing. The 'sorry you were out' note is silently put through the letter box so you end up having to make a journey to an out of town sorting office that is often only open for 3 hours a day. I am not sure why the deliveries are not made but it appears that certain sorting offices make the decision to leave inconvenient parcels at the depot or in the delivery van to save transporting/carrying them. Perhaps they use the 'sorry you were out so you didn’t hear your door bell again' note to cover up for this. Please sign the petition and STATE YOUR AREA OR POSTCODE IN THE COMMENTS BOX so I can pass this on to Royal Mail and hopefully they will be forced to improve the expensive 'collection' service that is currently on offer to the 'delivery' service it should be.
