The train horns sounded at the rail crossing in San Marco are disrupting the quality of life in our historic neighborhood. The increasing use of the rail has led to train horns being sounded day and night interrupting sleep, lowering home values and negatively affecting the quality of life. We are petitioning the Jacksonville City Council to establish a quiet zone as allowed by the Federal Railroad Administration by installing alternative safety devices.
