Developer Rosewheel Ltd is taking action to evict long-established businesses in the eastern part of London Chinatown to make way for a shopping mall. After the redevlopment, rents could go up by 500% making it impossible for the current tenants to return. This would open the floodgates for all other rents in London Chinatown to rise, threatening to force out all remaining Chinese shops. Min Quan is collecting signatures of people who object to the redevelopment. We will then present the petition to Westminster Council and the Greater London Authority.
