Postie Claire is being replaced by another Postie who wants her round. The Union policy is that if a longer serving member of staff wants to change rounds they can force the existing Postie to move. This is unfair and as stakeholders in the postal service we want to keep Claire as she is efficient, friendly and often goes beyond the call of duty as a member of our local community. We object to her being forced to move rounds.

I spent the morning talking with the local sorting office and the frustration in their voices matches exactly what I see in the comments here. Claire has been such a constant for our neighborhood that this policy feels like a direct disregard for the relationships she built over the years. I am currently reaching out to regional management to demand they look at the human cost of this decision.

Seeing this level of support for Claire proves that she is the heart of our daily routines. I am overwhelmed that so many of you value her hard work as much as I do.

Disgusting way to treat an employee. So much for Unions protecting workers - old school bullying at it's worst.

Claire has been doing this round for 7 years, she does a wonderful job, it's so unfair that she could be forced out when she knows the round and the people so well.

Claire is a wonderful postwoman and I can't imagine for one moment that anyone could do her job better. As the post office has now been privatised they should be putting their customers' wishes first.

Seniority most definitely does not mean more effective, or competent. Seniority often means less competent and more ambitious. We need really competent and consistently effective people on the ground like Claire who can work with local communities to preserve the service of Royal Mail by providing a trusting and consistand and always professional face to the service.

We also lost our postie on the Stoney Stratton round and he had been doing it for ages and was really nice. Why should they give up a round that they are good at for someone else. Think it's disgusting to be honest.

Claire is extremely pleasant and a valued member of the West Compton community. Please don't take her away.
