Saved Cougar Mountain!
YOU DID IT!!!
COUGAR MOUNTAIN BERGSMA ACQUISITION PASSES CITY COUNCIL
In a courageous show of leadership and with strong community support, the Issaquah City Council voted Monday night to acquire the 46-acre Bergsma property. This couldn’t have happened without all of you and your letters, your calls, your petition signatures, your attendance at meetings, your ideas and creativity – and your love for Cougar Mountain.
THANK-YOU! AND, HEY, IT’S NOT OVER YET……
The City Council is putting up $10.645 million dollars to front this acquisition in the hope that future grants will reimburse all but $3.823 million. They have asked the community to be their supporting partner in this. So we hope you are willing to let us keep you posted in the future. If the City does not get adequate compensation, they would have to sell off some or all of the property. NOT on our watch, right?

PLEASE THANK THE CITY COUNCIL AND MAYOR PAULY AND LET THEM KNOW YOU’LL SUPPORT THEIR GRANT EFFORTS: citycouncil@issaquahwa.gov
