The current owners of Kay's Lounge have announced that the doors to this 77 year old Houston icon will be shutting and demolished to make way for yet more town homes.

Kay’s Lounge is more than just a bar. It’s where generations of Houstonians have come together and created memories. We are losing what makes this city so great on a daily basis and becoming more commercialized without the diversity of keeping the preserving the old. Houston deserves better and we deserve the right to fight for our community culture.
