Kens Diner are an asset to Finedon. Unfortunately some people do not what they are achieving. They have created a comfortable environment for all, whether you fancy a quick coffee, a nice meal or want to take the family out. They have also been a massive asset to the car scene too hosting various evenings for all fanatics. If you didnt know... History of Ken's Diner Why Ken's Diner you ask? Well back in 1955 when McDonald was just a farmer, Ken Thompson sold his first hot dog cart outside Leicester train station and this is the rest of the story. Ken expanded his business to include outside catering to many of the well-known shows like the Royal Show at Stoneleigh, which he catered for, for 18 years. He also fulfilled a boyhood dream of living the cowboy lifestyle and opened a very English Fish and Chip Shop in Rawlings Wyoming, USA. After many years of success across the pond, he decided to settle back in England. He one again opened a cafe in Leicester in addition to running his outside catering business. He had a passion for American cars and purchased his first brand new Cadillac Fleetwood in 1960. He carried on enjoying his business and all things American right up until his sad passing in 2001. He motto still carries on "serve no burgers til its time" NOW LETS SAVE THIS DINER! They have done nothing wrong but due to a few negative views and opinions they are being pushed away. Lets not lose them!
