To Governor Martinez and the New Mexico Legislature:
We, the property owners and farmers of Dona Ana County oppose the building of the Santa Teresa International Railway through any part of our Valley South of Las Cruces. We ask that you immediately stop any feasibility study that would propose any route crossing our private lands and instead initiate an investigation of a route that encompasses public lands to the West of our Valley. No railway that bisects our Valley will be acceptable!

Our farm is our life's work and it is a travesty to have it taken away. Putting rail tracks through a farm renders it useless if the water source is on the wrong side. Imminent Domain is stealing.
Please do not destroy our farms and homes. Our lives
No amount of money replaces the blood, sweat and tears that goes into building a ranch. Keep the valley agricultural, and stop this plan to take peoples's homes and property.
With precious valley land being eaten up by development it would be a sin to see it to go to something that has an alternative.
This needs to be stopped! They have no right to take our homes, farms and businesses.
This needs to be stopped immediately. This would devastate many families and businesses.
My dad was a farmer.

Seriously you say you are friends of small businesses and farmers? This is so anti-small farmer! The railway NEEDS to be on the west mesa and not through our farm lands.
