We, the undersigned, urge Manchester City Council to retain The Mersey Valley Countryside Wardens service. The Mersey Valley in Manchester, including Chorlton Waterpark, Chorlton Meadows & Chorlton Ees, is an area of outstanding natural beauty, an extremely valuable leisure resource, and home to a wide variety of animal and plant life. The disbanding of the on-site service, provided by The Wardens, places the whole area at risk, in terms of safety, sustainability, appearance, vandalism, and lawlessness.
