We the undersigned note the consistently good performance of Wigan’s A&E and the strong public support for this essential local service, note with concern the distance to other A&E services in light of the recent closure of other A&Es in Trafford and London and call on the Secretary of State to reject any such proposals in relation to the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan in order to retain a good-quality, accessible local service for the people of Wigan.
