The council has officially decided to protect the funding for our local Citizens Advice Bureaux. This outcome ensures that our neighbors will continue to receive the vital guidance they require during difficult times. I am deeply appreciative of the time you took to support this cause and we will maintain …
The Citizens' Advice Bureaux provide essential services to the Lancaster and Morecambe community, the need for which has only increased with the recent recession. The Bureaux provide advice on debt, housing, employment, benefits and many other issues, and frequently help prevent people getting into further difficulties with these problems. If the council cuts their funding, it will have a detrimental effect upon the entire community.
This petition will be sent to all the local councillors and MPs asking them to prevent this action.
The petition will be sent on 2nd March so please distribute it as widely as possible before then!
Thank you for your support.
The stories shared by those who rely on Citizens' Advice highlight how vital these services are for our neighbors during difficult times. I am currently preparing the documentation to ensure that our collective message is delivered clearly to the council members who will make the final decision.
