The Situation: Washington High School District Board 308 recently purchased 3.3 acres of land including a home rich in local history, known as the G.W. Bayler Residence, located at 721 West Jefferson Street, with intentions of demolishing it and replacing it with a school parking lot. We, the Undersigned, as Citizens of Historical Washington, IL, are Urging District 308 to: • Preserve the home at its current location. • Support the preservation of this house as historical landmark.
