*****UPDATE UPDATE!

OUR SIGNATURES, PETITION AND DEMONSTRATIONS HAVE WORKED! HERE IS A NOTE FROM PETER AND JACKIE SHARING THE GOOD NEWS. WE WOULD ALL LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR SUPPORT OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS.  IT'S VERY INSPIRING KNOWING SO MANY PEOPLE CARE AND WANT TO MAKE A  DIFFERENCE.

"I have some important news and update for you. On Tuesday May 1st Jackie Wylie received a phone call from her oncologist, Dr. Vishal
Kukreti, Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH). He advised that he had received a communication from Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) an agency of
the Province of Ontario.
They are willing to cover the cost of "Campath" treatments, and further that those treatments will be done in the hospital under her oncologist's care. A date to commence to be determined shortly.

Best regards, congratulations, and thank you for your help in making this a reality.

Jackie and Peter Wylie

Dear Deborah Matthews, We are signing the below in support of Jackie Wylie, wife of Peter Wylie. We have learned recently that she has been diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of Leukemia called B-cell prolymphocytic leukemia with a p53 gene abnormality. We would like to ask why isn’t OHIP trying to save her life? If there is treatment available right here in Canada, why isn’t her life important enough to save? How do you decide which Canadians have the right to live? You may not know this, but the Wylie family has given a lot to Ontario residences. She has been a part of the Toronto Police Services 23 years. She has helped and supported her husband in running the Cabbagetown Youth Centre. Peter Wylie is one of best coaches boxing has seen in Canada. He has given countless hours to help “at risk” communities’ members. He has instilled hope and belief in the great country we live. Together, the Wylie’s have taught community members to take pride in what they do, where they live. Together they have taught sportsmanship, honor and commitment. They have taught us all to be contributing members of society. The coached us to do the right thing and you will be rewarded. Well Mrs. Matthews, he and his wife Jackie have done the right thing their whole life. For what I understand she is at risk of dying because she lives in the wrong Province in Canada. Please save her life.
