Dear All, Slough Borough Council want to stop street traders from operating in our High Street. The Jacket Potato stand is a family run business which supports 4 families. It has been in Slough High street for over 17 years. They offer quality, healthy, affordable food and friendship to all of their customers. Please join this petition to stop the council from affecting not only their lively hood but a recogniseable and beneficial part of our community. In addition the flower stall, fruit and vegtable and burger van will be affected. These are all people trying to earn an honest living in a bad economic climate and there is no good reason for it.
One of kind, healthy food stall? Why is this even debatable?? The amount of unhealthy food getting sold in the area is a joke! It's not even just about the food, it's about the family, the tradition, the Livelihood.

They have the best Jacket potatoes and have been trading in the High St for over 30 years now. Why stop them from trading now? Let them support their families and provide for Slough residents at the same time.

This is the heart of the Slough community, there are ways of making the place modern without cutting the income of hard working individuals. Councils should be supporting small businesses as part of the government levelling up programme and allowing businesses the opportunity to thrive rather than survive!

In a time like this we are supposed to be supporting local business, Slough council is losing the last spec of credibility with this rubbish now. First bankrupt now disruption to the community

Very honest, genuine people trying to make a living selling great quality food. Being a resident of slough, I've enjoyed many lunches by the jacket potato man and i would hate for him to no longer be able to trade.
