This petition has been created to keep the Town Council from revoking the business license of our local bar, Last Call. The Chief of Police feels that the bar is a nuisance to the town, but we disagree. We employ local residents, who are able to work in a safe, enjoyable environment without having to travel large distances from home. We provide the town with greatly needed revenue from local taxes. We directly support, sponsor and donate to local clubs, sports teams, school activities and charitable organizations. Most importantly, we give citizens from our area, and our out-of-town visitors, a friendly, safe environment to socialize. We are one of the few places in our small town where people of all races, genders, religions, and backgrounds can gather without discrimination, which is desperately needed in today's society.
