I have been hearing from so many of you who spent late nights in the workshop with grease on your hands and it really brings back memories of why this program matters so much to our engineering community. The silence from the administration is honestly pretty frustrating right now but that just means we have to stay loud because they cannot ignore us if we keep pressing them on this decision.

I logged on this morning and just stared at the screen because I honestly cannot believe how fast this is moving. It makes me think that maybe the university actually misjudged how many of us still want to hear the roar of a petrol engine instead of just the hum of an electric motor.

KEEP THE PETROL CAR. Monash will walk all over us if we dont have the combustion team running.
The petrol car is basically the heart of the whole program. Going electric only is a massive mistake.
Total joke. Electric is fine but petrol is where the real learning happens. Dont kill the team.
What a waste. Just because u want to look green doesnt mean u should destroy a winning team.
So many memories working on that car. Please rethink this Swinburne.

Ridiculous decision. Swinburne needs to stop cutting the programs that actually teach kids real engineering skills.
