The Merseyside Caribbean Community Centre has in the past provided cultural programs employment placements, organised social activities including the original Carnival, Domino tournaments, dances and presentations and special events for people of all ages. We also offer classes, drop-in activities, a Luncheon Club, a base for a community café and personal development workshops, a place for dance classes and healthy lifestyle promotion. L’pool City Council have withdrawn funding as they feel the Centre is no longer a useful resource in the community and that there are other facilities that can be used to cater to our users needs. Without that funding we are now facing closure!
