NME, once the pinnacle of new music news in the UK has in recent years, as a direct result of a piss-poor editor, morphed into the glossy, arse-licking, Skins fanzine available weekly on our shelves, mainly purchased by 13 year old girls.
Sign this petition in an attempt to reinstate some degree of dignity, missing from this magazine for many moons. Or at least to help them realise how embarrassing the publication has become.
Replace McNicholas with Beaumont or McMahon. Enough is enough.
The momentum behind this push is real and it shows that people are tired of the current state of NME. Post this link on Facebook to keep the pressure on the board. Email your local music journalist and demand real editorial standards.
