The Cultural, Environmental, and Economic effects of the Loop 202 extension into Gila River Indian Community lands cannot, and will not be ignored by the community at large.
Together, we are addressing the blatant implications of cultural imperialism in land management, and a legacy of constructing freeways through less privileged populations.
Furthermore, we are concerned for the future health and well-being of Arizona’s population.
We are especially aware of the importance of sustainable urban planning, and insist on a paradigm shift in regards to the attitudes that influence public transportation and public policy.
