On April 2, 2013, UTB, Royal Order of Juan Ponce de Leon, Brevard County,  The Florida Puerto Rican/Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Inc., Brevard County, The Town of Melbourne Beach in partnership with Spain, Puerto Rico, The State of Florida  and the VIVA 500 organization with its over 450 partners through out  the state of Florida  will join the whole nation in  the  V Centennial Celebration of the Discovery of Florida. 

VIVA 500 partners will be celebrating throughout the state with different events, Brevard County's Celebration consists of having a Banquet Dinner, Fly Over, a 21 Gun Salute, Juan Ponce de Leon Parade, the unveiling of the Juan Ponce de Leon Statue and a Royal Mass.  Invitations will be sent  to the  The President of the United States, the Governor, the Secretary of State and the King and Queen have already been invited to participate in the Celebration.   We will  be acknowledging the contributions of the Native American Indians, the Spanish, the French, the British, the African-Americans and all the other cultures that made our country a melting pot of our American history.  

By supporting the naming of unnamed barrier island to Ponce de Leon Island you will be honoring the First Governor of Puerto Rico, Florida's First Governor and the person who named our great State of Florida.
