This petition is being sent to area residents that will be affected by a retirement community being proposed for the current Rogers Farm off of Del Rio Pike. This petition will be presented to city officials to show that several communities in Williamson County ask that the Franklin City Board of Mayor and Aldermen along with city planners deny the request of Del Webb to put a retirement community on the current Rogers Farm property off of Del Rio Pike. The communities represented in this petition are Whitehall Farms, Founders Pointe, Cottonwood, River Landing, Legends Ridge, Fieldstone Farms and private residents with homes on or around Del Rio Pike. The Del Webb neighborhood is expected to be a very high density low cost housing community with 800 homes proposed that will surround the Whitehall Farms Subdivision. We feel that this community is more suited for a current high density area with the infrastructure to support such a large development, including easy access to an interstate; not in this area with the unique landscape and charm that makes this part of Williamson County special. Currently the road system cannot support a development of this size. Dangerous road conditions already exist today. There are many reasons why this community is opposed but here are a few of the main concerns: • Increased congestion on an already dangerous roadway, including seven years of construction traffic that is expected with this property. Our current road system is a dangerous challenge for residents and we do not feel that the current infrastructure can support another development of this size • Del Rio is a popular route for bicycle clubs and runners and does not have a road shoulder creating a very high risk situation for both motorist and recreational users • Loss of home value to current residents because of the high density- low cost homes being proposed • Change in landscape for an area that currently has charm and a unique rural quality that makes this part of Williamson County special.

Please sign this petition to demonstrate your opposition to this development.
