When we approached Mr. Hughes and Mr Waller about retiring Scott's jerseys I was told that perhaps we should plant a tree with a sign with his numbers on it saying that Oakwood had never retired anyones jersey before!! While a tree is a nice gesture, they do that for everyone even old lady teachers......Scott was an amazing ATHLETE and deserves this recognition. All of us have been inspired by his all out, go big or go home spirit and it needs to be honored.

My dad has sent a letter to the Oakwood Register editor already, and my brother Tommy is still at the high school so he can do the leg work. We want to collect signatures and while I know many of you are out of town, maybe when you are home for Thanksgiving we could get this done. Please let your parents know and ask for their support as well. Please show your support and feel free to add people......the more people the better!!!
