"The mission of SeaTech - The Institute for Ocean and Systems Engineering - is to provide an environment for advanced engineering research and technology development aimed at solving problems in the ocean. SeaTech builds on and complements the academic programs of the Department of Ocean and Mechanical Engineering and forms the means for technology advancement, collaboration with academia, industry, and government, and transition of research products to applications." -FAU website Due to budget cuts FAU is considering not offering classes at this campus anymore. Without the equipment and technology that SeaTech offers the ocean engineering students will be at a disadvantage in today's job market, and the reputation for the program for being the best in the nation would be demolished. It is our duty to prove that not only is this campus beneficial to Ocean Engineering students, but to all of FAU.

I have been reading your messages about how much this facility meant to your careers and it really puts into perspective how much is at stake. The reality of these potential cuts is heavy but your stories are exactly what I needed to keep pushing forward.

FAU is making a huge mistake here. SeaTech is the reason this program is top tier. Dont cut the only things that actually matter.

My son is in the program and he says the facilities are world class. losing them would be such a waste of talent.
