Around 100 Iranian students have encountered a problem in the process of getting Visa for studying in Italy. Embassy of Italy has set a deadline (30 of June) so students bring their official bachelor degree and their documents.

Students who were in their last semester faced problem to bring their documents and their official Bachelor of Science Degree will not be ready until the deadline that has been set by the Embassy of Italy. In fact, regular BS students of Iran universities finish their last term exams almost in late June, and after that, it takes about 1 or 2 months to prepare their official degree.

In previous years, the deadline had been extended for Iranian students and they were allowed to provide their bachelor degree until end of August. This year they didn't extend their deadline and around 200 students faced serious problems for getting Visa.

Many students will lose their admissions and their Scholarships. This will cause them to lose one year of their life and great deal of money as they have to reapply again next year . On the other hand, some students will face problem with obligatory military service in Iran.

We request that they would consider their deadline and starts our Visa process .

My friend is in this exact situation. It makes no sense to ruin someone's future over a degree that is literally being printed as we speak.

The administration knows how the Iranian academic calendar works. Why change the rules now and screw everyone over? Ridiculous.

this is so unfair. they worked so hard to get those admissions and now they might lose everything because of some paperwork timing? please help them.

Dont let these students lose their scholarships over a simple date error. just give them the extra month like before!!

A total waste of talent if they have to wait another year. It shouldnt be this hard to study abroad.

PLEASE extend the deadline. Italy needs these students and they deserve a fair chance to start their studies.

I am an Algerian student applying for an Italian student visa for the 2026/2027 academic year. The recent change in English-language certificate requirements has created serious difficulties for students, especially due to the very limited availability of IELTS appointments. I respectfully support this petition and ask the Italian authorities to consider students who started their procedures under the previous requirements and to allow a fair transition period.
