Plans are afoot to change how our supervised practice placements are allocated. It used to be that you could choose 3 placements and would get allocated one of those. This is NOT going to happen anymore. These placements are going to be allocated to us with no choice or student input. This is important because if you are interested in medical and get sent to surgical it might not be in your best interests. You could get sent back to a bad placement! Also a lot of people get their 1st jobs where they do their supervised practice so its important we have some say in this.
