We, the undersigned residents of Sage, respectfully request that the county of Riverside install a Sheriff substation in our area. Due to the large increase in number of residents here and slow response rate (due to long distance travel time) and a lack of 24 hr. police patrolling presence, we have been experiencing an increase of both reported and unreported criminal activity. Our tax dollars do not bring in the benefits of many of those in urban areas (such as sidewalks, streetlights, curbs, sewers, and piped in water). So it is more than reasonable that we can at least expect an equitable amount of professional police protection to that tantamount to the rest of Riverside county.
