Petition to make SIN II and/or SIN Episodes available for development!
Many PC gamers were excited to see the renewal of the SIN franchise in the episodic series debut in 2006. Unfortunately due to lack of blockbuster sales (only 150K units in the first year after release), Ritual Entertainment was acquired by MumboJumbo Games (who still holds the IP for SIN), despite being an online casual game developer. Much of the Ritual development staff departed for other jobs.Ritual had in its pipeline at the time 9 episodes of SIN episodic content. The buyout and lack of initial sales amounted to the death of the series.

This petition is aimed at MumboJumbo, as it is highly unlikely they intend to do anything in the interest of gamers with this IP. Therefore this petition is a motion to communicate SIN fans’ hope that the SIN intellectual property rights be used for development. If MumboJumbo is actively developing or planning to develop this series, fans wish to know and we ask that this news be made public. If there is no intentions of developing the series, fans plead that the series’ IP at least be made available for auction by MumboJumbo so that there is, at minimum, a chance that the series can resume active development.
