SLEEPY HOLLOW RESIDENTS OPPOSE THE MARIN COUNTY PROPOSED DRAFT STREAM CONSERVATION AREA ORDINANCE
The Marin County proposed Stream Conservation Area Ordinance for Sleepy Hollow (www.co.marin.ca.us/sca) WILL: - Directly or indirectly impact Sleepy Hollow PROPERTY VALUES. - Impose unreasonable limitations on property improvements and new construction and create exorbitant FINANCIAL BURDENS. Sleepy Hollow should be exempt from the proposed Stream Conservation Area Ordinance BECAUSE: - We are a unique community with OUR OWN ZONING DESIGNATION identified in the Countywide Plan. - Adequate protective REGULATIONS ALREADY EXIST. - The SHHA Creek Committee successfully manages flood protection, creek stewardship, and education in the community. As stewards of the environment we choose to live in Sleepy Hollow because we appreciate and value its natural beauty, but the draft SCA Ordinance MINIMIZES OUR RIGHTS AS PROPERTY OWNERS
