Hello Everyone, this is a request from me and I hope many other Sonic Fans. 30 years of Sonic is coming up next year and we have not yet seen anything announced. I feel that a great way to celebrate would be to redeem one of, if not the worst Sonic game. Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) has only been on PS3, Xbox 360 (Xbox One as well thanks to backwards compatibility), and Linux, which is only one of the reasons a remaster should be made. The story of the game was well thought out but was not executed as well as it could be due to not being given enough time.

The next generation of consoles are being released this year which means new hardware to make a definitive edition of a game that could be great. A remaster would

1. Give many players a chance to experience the game like never before and new players a chance to experience it in general.
2. Redeem a game that was rushed and was not polished whatsoever to a point of being possibly the greatest sonic game.
3. Redeem the Sonic Team in general since their most recent games (excluding Sonic Mania) have not been up to par with the games from the early 90s and early 2000s.

The last reason itself is a good enough reason for the Sonic Team to try to make it. They could make such an amazing game and experience for the fans. Yes, COVID could pose an issue to get the game out in time, but them making the game at all is enough to please us fans. I know, and I think we all know, that the Sonic Team is capable of making great games, and I believe they just need to make one amazing game to put them back in the groove and State of mind that they had before.
