I have been hearing from so many of you who are tired of seeing our work dismissed as mere charity or irresponsible spending. Behind the scenes I am talking to industry leaders about what a formal association could look like to finally secure the professional credibility we deserve.

Seeing this level of professional consensus confirms that I am not alone in my frustration with how our industry is viewed. The response proves that we are ready to move past these outdated misconceptions.

Sponsorship needs way more structure. Hope this moves forward soon.
NEED THIS. The industry is like the wild west right now and nobody takes it serious.
Working in this field for 10 years and we really lack any real standards. glad to see this.
the current way things are done is honestly a mess. counting me in.
Finally someone said it. Getting sick of explaining to my boss why this isnt just charity work.
To say the least, setting standards or regulating industry is important.
