Basingstoke and Deane is recognised as a national "notspot" for broadband performance. Within the borough, Chineham suffers from the worst service (if you can even call it a service). Many Chineham users think they are doing well when their speed reaches 250 Kb/s! We, the undersigned, demand that our representatives at parliamentary, county and borough level, take urgent action to bring about improvements so that the many homeworkers as well as leisure users receive the level of service for which they are paying (and is anyway lamentably poor compared with most other economically powerful nations).
