1/21/11 8A.M. Outside of Larkin and Donner on Galvez Street: A Jackhammer erupts consistently to dismember some concrete. The pulsation creates an uproar of high decibel noises. This awakens the residents nearby. These residents, students rather, need their sleep since a long day of classes, problem sets, work, or other obligations lie ahead. It is understood that construction must be started early to get more done before nighttime and/or evade the heat of the day. However, on the very street itself lies a street lamp to give light. Also a power cord could be ran a very short distance to a greater light source. One may ask is the power used to supply that light worth the sleep of roughly 100 students? Why don't you ask the students and what they have in mind for the future? Avoiding the heat of the day should not be a major concern, considering it is 60 degrees outside and still winter time. If this was during the summer, it would be understandable to start at an early time. What are we asking? We are asking for construction near residences to start after 10am on weekdays and noon on weekends. Thank You. Sincerely, David Huynh Larkin North 221
