Tell VALVᴱ Software we want a Steam based stock market where you can buy units of stock in the games they sell. Base stock value can be decided arbitrarily, based on popularity of a given title, e.g., if the game is a frequent top seller, or by some other means. The stock you buy would have no value outside of Steam, and any money you earn from sales would only convert to Steam Wallet currency. Participating in the stock market community should grant you badges or achievements after a certain mile-stone, and perhaps even in-game cosmetic items or other bonuses.

This is just an example of something that could be done to broaden the expansive Steam platform; the implementation of a stock market would not have to be done in this manner, but I think it's a great concept. Based on the sweeping enthusiasm for the most recent holiday event, I think the concept of a Steam stock market has massive appeal. If this is something you want to see, let Valve know by signing this petition, and share this with your comrades!

This petition will be sent to Gabe Newell once the first signature goal is reached. The goal will then be increased once Gabe sees that there is a strong interest.
