As parents, we deserve the respect to being given an advance notification and justification for any fee hike before implementation. If the school management treats the parents as a herd of sheep then how will the teachers treat our children. We need to know the below details prior to considering any fee hike:

  1. How can you announce a fee hike at such a short notice and implement it immediately from the next academic year? Even though you are well aware that admissions in most CBSE schools have already closed for the next academic year!
  2. Does the school have the approval of Ministry of Education for this hike?
  3. On what basis can the management mandate the purchase of books from the school when these books are available at other outlets? Unless it will be offered subsidized from the school.

We need answers and not promises. We need a justification.

We have reached the 250 signature threshold. I am currently finalizing a formal letter to the school management demanding transparency regarding the Ministry of Education approval process.

It's highly impossible to pay the hiked fee in this tight market situation where salaries are not being paid on time. There's a clear directive from Ministry to Education not to increase the fees for the next 2 years.

Al Falah DPS school for boys doesn't have proper campus, no sports ground, no proper infrastructure. Yet, school is charging average SR 1000 per child for higher classes. Further increase from next academic year is unjustifiable and unacceptable.

There should be prior notice atleast one acedmic year before. Should publish the book list on school website. Shouldn't bound to buy it from school. as school is charging almost three times more than its orignal cost, rather than give discounted rate.

20% Fee hike in current situation with 19% transport fee hike last year going to put extra burden to low income parents and would impact child education. If school improves education quality then minor fee hike acceptable but 20% is too much. This must be revised.

Presently the situation is very bad in KSA, more or less all expats are facing problems (with delayed salaries or no salary at all, losing jobs, no commissions) and above all this if the community school will hike the fees it is very troubling.

No doubt DPS Al Falah is a gud school , but sudden fees hikes aren’t acceptable - infact the fees should be dropped
