Please help my family protect our rights as homeowners,and protect Hidden Highlands! I live in Hidden Highlands Subdivision and I have been dealing with a man harassing me and my family on my own property ! There is a utility easement right of way behind my home , which we were told was for Utility purposes . A man owns 20 acres of land behind our property.He recently placed his property for sale for 5.5 million and is saying that he is going to build a road through the utility easement and right a way for access to the beach through my yard .He has been on my property with large equipment cutting brush , as well as the other vacant lots beside me. He will sit in our yard and harass us and refuses to leave . I had called every Walton County Official ,been to the courthouse for hours and had the Sherriff's department here numerous times. The Walton County Sherrif's Department allows this man to stay on my property that I pay taxes on and harrass my family because they are saying they do not know who has the right to my property! The county will not give me a answer and just says that they don't know if he can build a road in my yard. If the county allows this man to build a road in my yard for this huge development, it will not only be a few feet from my home ,it will endanger my children and effect the entire Hidden Highlands subdivision with hundreds of cars driving through our neighborhood . PLEASE HELP ME REMOVE THIS RIGHT OF AWAY, STOP THIS ROAD , AND STOP THE HARASSMENT! PLEASE HELP ME PROTECT HIDDEN HIGHLANDS!!

NO, NO, NO! He has desired this for years ...increases the value of his property and negatively impacts Hidden Highlands & Beach Highlands.
As a member of the Beach Highlands community, this is very upsetting. Hopefully the government will step in and stop this harassment and not be swayed by financial status.
i too was told it was an easement for He government owned pathway so nobody has a right to build a road there!!!!!!it is right behind my house as well!!!!
What a jerk. He would harass us when walking on a trail along side his property with threat of calling the police as well as firing warning shots into the air. What a bully - who has an agenda a mile long and doesn't play well with others
This would mean a lot of traffic going through our neighborhood from Spotted Dolphin and North Bishop Rd.
There is no good reason to allow this abuse of a utility easement to the detriment of the surrounding existing community.
You can't take someone's property like that, they don't have the right!

This man is a tresspasser. A utility easement is just that....an easement for utilities not roads. I dont believe anyone can build a road through another persons property without a proper right of way. Stop this man from disrupting this family's home and the whole neighborhood just for his own benefit. Please. Thank you. Respectfully submitted,
