Meta has confirmed the removal of the reported imposter accounts and the implementation of a new verification protocol for missing persons pages. We have achieved our objective but I will continue monitoring the platform to ensure these security measures remain in place.

There are sick people going around creating FAKE Facebook profiles. Impersonating MISSING PERSONS AND MISSING CHILDREN ...
These impostors are contacting the family and friends of there missing loved one .As if it where actually them(THE MISSING)Sending messages as if they are the families missing child and giving them false hope that they are soon to return home . Asking the parents questions ."Do you miss me mommy?" "DO you dream of me ?" ..
This is a horrible act to do onto someones family that is suffering everyday already with THE NOT KNOWING.
These pages need to be revealed in there sources and stopped . Help these families and there Missing loved one from being targeted and victimized by these stalkers .. Please sign this petition each signature can help make a difference

I am currently organizing the reports of these imposter accounts to present a formal case to the platform safety team. Several families have contacted me with specific records of these interactions which will be attached as evidence to our request for a policy change. My next step is to coordinate with legal counsel to determine the best way to escalate these reports.

The growth of this petition has captured the attention of a national cybersecurity watchdog group. I am currently coordinating a meeting with their legal team to discuss specific technical pathways for account removal. Expect a status report on these administrative actions by the end of the week.

I had a loved one missing and had a blackmailer come after me so I know first hand the additional trauma that is brought to the families when evil like this presents itself. It must be stopped and criminal charges brought against monsters who do things like this, to anyone that heaps additional trauma on the families of the missing.
Only a soulless monster would do something this evil to torture the loved ones of the missing. This needs to be made a felony offense. I really hope a law is passed to prosecute anyone that would do this.
As the mother of a former missing ( found deceased) we ran into all kinds of bizarre people! They need to be stopped at all costs!
This has happened to my family several times regarding my missing niece,BriannaCuoco,it is cruel and sick.It is a crime and a great injustice causing more pain to us.You must track down these twisted individuals and stop them from preying on families who are grieving every minute as each day passes.
I have been harassed since my daughter Larissa Sam went missing.. I have proof by screen shots that law enforcement has copies of on disk... I also have accumulated more.. I would love for them to be stopped...
Our world is full of predators, we must watch over our children.
This needs to be stopped! These families are going through enough without an added stressor.

Someone thought it was funny when they talked to me for an hour through fake Facebook page on two separate occasions this needs to be stopped it tore me apart
