Reckless riding of motorcycles, dirtbikes and ATV's in Upper Manhattan is increasing, and is out of control. Community members have voiced their concerns repeatedly to the Community Boards, the NYPD, and 311 over the last few years, and yet the problem continues. The NYPD has taken a "no chase" stance, in the interest of public safety, however the police department has not developed an effective solution. Upper Manhattan community members are asking the police department to intensify its efforts to control this problem and punish the individuals who make our streets and sidewalks unsafe.

DO YOUR JOBS NYPD. its not just noise its genuinely dangerous for the kids crossing the street.
Loud as hell at 3am too. Can barely sleep with them racing down the avenue.
The no chase policy is just an excuse for them to do whatever they want. Confiscate the bikes. That will stop them real quick.
It is absolutely insane out there. I swear these guys think the streets belong to them and they dont care who they hit. NYPD needs to do something now.
Almost got hit twice walking my dog last week. They run red lights and ride on the sidewalk like its a video game. Stop this madness.

Sick and tired of being scared to cross the street in my own neighborhood. Get these criminals off the road.
