Stop the animal cruelty at Surabaya Zoo !
It is time to stop the horrible treatment and disgraceful conditions the innocent animals are going through at Surabaya Zoo. Surabaya Zoo is located in Indonesia and is also known as the "Zoo of death".
Since 2014 it is found that there are almost 3,500 animals living in this zoo and almost 200 species that all live under unacceptable conditions and are not well looked after. Research was carried out and it is found that about 81 animals are sick, disabled and old and 44 are in severe conditions. For example, there is a white Bengal tiger which is missing an ear and further suffers from spinal issues and lies helplessly inside a cage at the zoo. An investigation was conducted by the local police and the East Java Natural Resources Conservation Agency where they found that careless zookeepers were the reasons for the deaths of animals. Autopsies were carried out on the animals that died and they found various pieces of plastic and wood inside the animals. Together we can make a change for these animals who cannot speak for themselves. Sign this petition today to begin the process of making a positive change for these animals.
