They actually listened and are dropping the five generation look back for good which feels like such a massive weight off everyone's shoulders. I keep staring at the notice and thinking about all those cats finally being able to move around without us having to worry about seizures. Please keep …
The fifth generation SBT bengal is a DSC (domestic shorthaired cat). The bengal should be treated as any other DSC. But bengal breeders and bengal owners are subject to seizures of their cats and some cat owners are denied the ability to transfer their pets in and out of the United States. The United States Fish and Wildlife Service references a list of cats which were previously illegally shipped in or out of the United States to prohibit entry or exit of certain bengals - currently USFW looks back five generations to search for these so called "illegal cats" in pedigrees. Bengal breeders and bengal owners ask that USFW stop punishing bengal owners for crimes that they did not commit.
I was just looking at the screen and realized how far this has spiraled since I started it which is honestly wild because I really just wanted someone at the office to listen to us for once. It feels like people finally get that our cats are just domestic companions and not some wild risk that needs this level of scrutiny it is actually kind of overwhelming in a good way.

americans should not ever have our rights taken away or restricted to have these cats and they are way to small to have any impact at all in the wild and they know it too ,..we have very hungry coyotes that would eat them if they ever got loose so there is no need at all to restrict them and they need to stop allowing the butcher of cougers and our wild bobcats they are pushing them into a corner over stupid chickens we should feed them not shoot them

the government needs to stop overreaching and let people own their pets in peace. bengals are awesome cats and this is just harassment.

these cats are domestic pets not wild animals. usfw needs to do some real work instead of going after people who just want to move with their family cats
